Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals
Serve in our classrooms
The part-time Volunteer Teacher’s Assistant role provides additional support for classroom activities during the fall, spring and/or summer semesters. Volunteers contribute 1-3 hours per week and work at our in-school or afterschool locations. College credit is available for students.
Host a school supply drive
Research shows that when students start the school year with essential supplies, it enhances the learning experience, bolsters self-esteem and contributes to better school attendance. By organizing a school supply drive, you can help our students have the best possible start to the school year.
Join the board or a committee
We are looking for potential board members with specialized knowledge in finance, strategy, marketing, legal
affairs and human resources. Or, if you’re interested in joining a committee, we’re looking for individuals with expertise in education, governance, finance and development.
Host a Friendraiser
Familiarize your network with Beacon Hill by organizing a Friendraiser at your home or workplace. These informal events include a presentation highlighting Beacon Hill’s mission and impact, an opportunity for questions and answers and information on how to get involved.
Spread the word

Volunteer Opportunities for Groups
Celebration goodie bags
Every nine weeks, our students receive a goodie bag filled with supplies and treats to celebrate their achievements. The Beacon Hill team needs volunteers to help prepare nearly 1,500 bags for our students. Volunteers are invited to join the nine-week
celebration, providing encouragement to our scholars and assisting in the distribution of these bags.
Supply organization support
In this role, you will coordinate and catalog educational curricula, supplies, store incentives, activities and storybooks for Dallas ISD, Fort Worth ISD Charter school and community center campuses. These resources are distributed weekly to support our students
and enhance their learning experiences.
Host an onsite informational event
Familiarize your network with Beacon Hill by hosting a short social gathering at your office. The event will include a presentation highlighting Beacon Hill’s mission and impact, an opportunity for questions and answers and information on how to get involved.
Achievement awards coordination
We are looking for volunteers to help organize and assemble packets for students to celebrate their program achievements. Volunteers are welcome to join us at the end-of-year celebrations and assist in distributing these kits.

Operations and events support
Join us as a volunteer at our corporate office, providing valuable support to our team and operations. Explore the campuses we assist, meet our Beacon Hill Scholars, witness our programs in action and share your expertise. Opportunities include assisting with Career Day, Dr. Seuss Day and celebratory events.
